3 Easy Ways to Build Momentum for a Safer, More Mobile Polk

Never has Polk County been more populated and abuzz with development and growth and never before has your opinion been more crucial to how we plan for the future.

As the Polk TPO progresses with its Momentum 2040 campaign -- which is an update to the TPO's 25-year Long Range Transportation Plan -- we need your help to identify ways we can improve the safety, mobility and convenience of Polk County's transportation network.

Here are 3 easy ways to get involved that take a small amount of time but will have a major impact.

1.) Make Your Mark With the Momentum 2040 Public Comment Tool

We want you to use our live mapping system to voice concerns, upload pictures and share feedback on what your neighbors are saying about roads, trails and transit in Polk. From your phone, tablet or computer you can easily pinpoint where you see the opportunity for a transportation improvement and check back frequently to see other people's ideas and proposals.

2.) Join the TPO's Adviser Network

The Adviser Network is the Polk TPO's citizen-involvement model to garner early and consistent feedback on transportation planning and projects.

Adviser Network members are invited to attend quarterly community forums that are geared toward generating discussions and gathering comments on relevant transportation planning projects. Members are also provided with a special edition Adviser USB drive with important TPO documents, maps, graphics and more

3.) Follow the TPO on Twitter and "Like" the TPO on Facebook

You're already scrolling through a newsfeed filled with dogs dressed up like reindeer and re-tweeting about the revelation that just occurred on your favorite TV drama, so why not increase your Polk County IQ a little in the process?

TPO staff is always glad to answer your questions, share links of local and regional interest and share with you the innovations that are filling in the gaps and improving our transportation network one vital link at a time.
