COMMUNITY REPLAY: Adviser Network Multi-Use Trails Forum

The TPO would like to thank all of the people who were part of a terrific discussion on the current plans and future aspirations of Polk County's multi-use trail system on May 22 at Cleveland Heights Golf Course.

Nearly 60 people attended the event, another 75+ viewed the event live online and others engaged with TPO staff on Twitter.

Staff received dozens of helpful insights into what people enjoy about the trail network and what the public sees as needed improvements.

Ryan Kordek of the Polk TPO also shared his vision for 25-, 50-, and 75-mile trail loops that would connect Polk County even further in our long-range plan. Chuck Barmby from the city of Lakeland showcased an array of new projects that are either underway or funded throughout the city as well.

If you were unable to join us for the event, we strongly encourage you check out the broadcast of Ryan and Chuck's presentations and share your thoughts and comments with us. We would love to take your comments on the future of Polk's trail network either via email, Twitter, Facebook or by calling us at (863) 534-6709.

The TPO published the Community Forum #5 Multi-Use Trails Report, including all of the public comments recorded from the various outreach efforts connected to the event.
