Forum on Freight Mobility Highlights Polk's Role in Evolving Marketplace

On September 16 the Polk TPO hosted a Community Forum that begged the questions “How is the freight industry changing in the region?” and “How can we at the TPO help improve the movement of freight while keeping an efficient traffic flow?”

At the forum titled “Freight Mobility and Moving Goods” leaders from the private and public sector converged to give the audience at Polk State Corporate College a snapshot about how trains, ships and the new Intermodal Logistics Center in Winter Haven are changing the way Polk fits into the regional, national and international trade conversation.

Check back soon for a video replay of the event and a report detailing the public feedback received at the forum.
