Senior Mobility Audits

The Polk TPO conducted a study to evaluate senior mobility in Polk County.  The study identified areas of Polk County with a high concentration of senior residents aged 65+ and developed a methodology for evaluating senior access to essential services, e.g., shopping and medical services.  The initial project phase included a pilot study for one of the identified areas. Additional senior mobility audits were conducted in FY 2017/18.

Neighborhood Mobility Audits

Polk Transportation Planning Organization conducted Neighborhood Mobility Audits in traditionally underserved areas where residents typically have fewer travel options. The purpose of these audits is to evaluate resident mobility and access to jobs and essential services.
