Polk TPO

The Polk Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) is dedicated to creating a safe and efficient transportation system for Polk County. Since 1977, we’ve been the lead agency responsible for planning and allocating federal and state funds for essential transportation projects. Polk County spans more than 2,000 square miles and has more than 5,000 miles of roads. Polk County is home to more than 800,000 residents. We aim to improve roadways, enhance safety and optimize transit services for the benefit our community. Read on to learn more about who we are and what we do.
