Polk County Transportation: Exploring Alternative Modes of Mobility

The relentless hum of traffic, the constant jostle for parking spaces, and the ever-present threat of gridlock have become commonplace in many urban and suburban areas. While the automobile remains the default mode of transportation for many, it’s increasingly clear that a more diverse approach to mobility is essential to alleviate traffic congestion, improve air quality and enhance overall quality of life.

The Polk Transportation Planning Organization (TPO), a crucial player in shaping the future of transportation in Polk County, Florida, recognizes the importance of exploring alternative modes of mobility.
