Traffic Data

The database includes information on current traffic volume and level-of-service for these major roads. Key metrics include:

  • Daily Traffic Volumes: Reported as Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT), representing the typical traffic volume on a weekday over a 24-hour period and
  • Peak Hour Traffic Volumes: The highest hourly traffic volume between 4 – 7 p.m., reported as both a two-way volume and as directional volumes (east-west or north-south).

Level-of-Service (LOS)

Peak hour traffic volumes are used to estimate the level-of-service for each roadway in each direction. LOS is a measure of traffic congestion, rated on a scale from ‘A’ to ‘F’:

  • LOS A Free-flow traffic
  • LOS F: Severe traffic congestion (similar to a parking lot)
